MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) program with the course duration of 5 years and one year compulsory internship. The program will be conducted in six months semester basis.
Goal of Training Programme:
The goal is to train medical bachelor graduates with solid scientific foundation of medicine, specified clinical skills, and good professional qualities. Graduates should master the basic principles and clinical skills of medical science and be able to analyze and make decisions by using evidence-and-experience-based scientific methods. Graduates should have perpetual learning and necessary management abilities and good professional ethics. Graduates should be able to integrate management of illness, health promotion and disease prevention under the supervisors’/tutors’ guide, and finally be independent qualified doctors who meet the global requirements through further professional education.
International MBBS graduates should possess professional qualities and ethics of:

Teaching methods
√ Lectures: less than one third of total hours on average.
√ Practicals: arranged by a standard class as 30 students or less. Students may be rearranged to several groups within class according to the practical needs.
√ Seminars: PBL and CBL could be applied to a standard class. Students may be rearranged to several groups within class by needs.
√ Hospital/Community visits: clinical and community based field visits. Clinical visits will be arranged in our subsidiary hospital or teaching hospitals.
√ Tutorials: individual or group tutorials could be arranged by needs.
√ Self-study: suitable self-study contents should be chosen from all subjects to train students’ self-learning capability.
√ Researches: teachers are encouraged to recruit student participants in research projects.
√ Clinical practices: students are required to go for the training in clinical practice. Training will be arranged in affiliated hospitals, teaching hospitals or the local teaching hospitals admitted by the national authority of where the international students come from. The placement periods will be distributed in various departments according to their schedules.

Internship
Students can do their internship in any third country or in their own country. It is not compulsory to do their internship at university hospitals. Those who want to do their internship in their own country; university will provide provisional certificate, no objection letter and other related certificates to students.
Those who want to do their clinical internship in university, training will be arranged in our teaching hospitals or affiliated hospitals admitted by the national authority of where the international students come from. All teaching methods should emphasize on training of students’ abilities of critical thinking and information management and communication skills. Clinical courses should emphasize on training of the clinical skills, which include history of disease collection, physical examination, accessory examination, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, decision making and implement of diagnosis and treatment plans, clinical operation, clinical thinking and emergency treatment etc. Internship students are required to undertake one- year placement of training in clinical practice. No winter or summer holidays within placement period.
Admission Process:
- Applicants who want to study MBBS in Beihua University can contact our local recruitment agency. Student should have passed intermediate level or 10+2, O-Level, F. Sc. or A-Level through science stream with biology/pre-medical subjects, high school diploma or Medical Undergraduate Diploma, having 50% in aggregate.
- Applicant should mail Personal resume, International student’s application form of Beihua University, Graduation certificates and Transcripts to International Students Admission Office (MBBS Program).
- Applicants will receive “JW202 Form” and “Admission Notice” after they are enrolled by Beihua University.
- Applicants should take the original Passport, JW 202 Form, Admission Notice, complete Physical Examination form for Foreigner in his/her own country’s hospital to Chinese Embassy or Consulate General to apply for Student Visa (X Visa). [Note: Applicant shall bring original report of HIV infection check, blood test of Syphilis test, ECG, and Chest X-ray to China].
